CGB Announces Acquisition of Agforce Assets

Posted 18 Nov-2021 05:52 PM by Steve | 960

CGB Enterprises, Inc., a leader in the grain and transportation industries since 1969, today announced that its subsidiary, Consolidated Grain and Barge Co. (CGB), has acquired Agspring Logistics, LLC's business assets operated under the trade name Agforce Transport Services (Agforce).

Established in 2015, Agforce has been a nationwide logistics provider of multi-modal services located in Leawood, KS. It was founded by a team of individuals committed to redefining and simplifying the third party logistics experience through flexibility and a focus on providing solutions. Since that time, they've grown industry expertise, carrier networks and developed flexible freight options to suit a wide variety of shipping needs.

"The acquisition of Agforce business assets is a complement to our existing freight transportation company, River Bend Brokerage, and to our overall strategic business portfolio. We are excited to welcome new team members to CGB and to begin servicing a new customer base through expanded supply chain services," said Hector Orellana, Senior Director of Inland Terminals and River Bend Brokerage at CGB.

CGB will continue to operate the business under the Agforce trade name and headquarters will remain in Leawood, KS. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
