The New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants honored Stark with an Excellence in Financial Journalism Award for a story entitled Paying Down the Debt. She also received a Hess Campaign Report Award from the Brookings Institute for a report entitled Anti-Business Populism, examining an Al Gore campaign strategy. She is the winner of an Emmy Award for her participation in ABC's millennium coverage and the winner of a George Foster Peabody award for her participation in the network's coverage of 9/11. Earlier in her career, as a documentary producer for Inside Story, the PBS series on the media, she was honored with an Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Reporting.
