David James joined WFIE-TV in 1973. Besides being an anchor for the 6 and 10 p.m. newscasts, Mr. James is also the managing editor of Newswatch. [CR-LF][CR-LF]His hobbies and interests include tennis, travel, languages and gardening. James is a member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and an advisor for the USI/EPI-Hab Center for Disability Studies. [CR-LF][CR-LF]James is married and has a daughter. The family is active in the Girl Scouts. [CR-LF][CR-LF]James was born in Evansville, Ind., and was an editor of the student newspaper at the University of Evansville where he received his bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism and humanities.
