Mr. Duncan Verified

Mike Duncan is a pioneer in Little Rock television; he is the market's first "Backpack Journalist." He joined KTHV-TV in June 2006 and also anchors the weekend news. [CR-LF][CR-LF]As the "Backpack Journalist", he is equipped with a brand new High Definition camera and a laptop computer with special wireless and editing capabilities. He hits the road everyday to capture stories from all four corners of Arkansas.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Previously, he worked in television in Lawton before moving on to the Oklahoma City market as a photojournalist. He won an Emmy Award for his photography work. He left photography and became a reporter and anchor in northwest Arkansas before coming to Today's THV. [CR-LF][CR-LF]A native of Oklahoma, he majored in music at Cameron University. He traveled around the country playing with a couple of bands before deciding he wanted a career in broadcast journalism.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Currently, he lives in Little Rock. He enjoys sports, exercise and playing music. He currently plays bass guitar in a band for a contemporary service at his church.
