Karen Feagins is a "Morning Edition" host and reporter for WJCT-FM, covering local and national news as well as investigative reporting. She joined WJCT in June 2005 after several years as a television reporter. Feagins is a native of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and she studied broadcast journalism at the University of Missouri. She began her news career at KOMU-TV and KBIA-FM in Columbia, Missouri. From there, it was on to WZVN in Ft. Myers and, in 2002, to Jacksonville [CR-LF]to work for WJXT-Channel 4. [CR-LF][CR-LF]In her free time, Feagins enjoys reading, kayaking or catching new releases at the movie theater. She is a proud resident of the Murray Hill neighborhood, where she lives with her husband, Tim, and their beagle-mix, Truman.
