Electronic watches were created in Switzerland using quartz in the 70s of the last century. Fifty years later, we continue in the same line of innovation with the production of a second smart watch that can boast extremely high technological sophistication, while embodying all the aesthetic values, technical functions and excellence that have ensured the reputation of our Big Bang collection. Increasingly true to our motto, "Art of Fusion," we wanted the BIG BANG to combine Hublot's highly advanced technical materials and state-of-the-art innovations in today's digital world - Ricardo Guadalupe, Hublot CEO
Overflowing with sophistication and advanced technology, this piece fits seamlessly into Hublot's watchmaking tradition. Both Hublot enthusiasts and the general public can immediately recognize on the watch all the codes that have contributed to building the brand's reputation. A good pedigree always shows. Its case has been made with materials such as black ceramic or titanium following a "sandwich" type construction, an innovative construction devised by Hublot in 2005. Extremely complex, it consists of 42 components, 27 of which belong exclusively to Module K, the «cage»which houses the digital heart of the watch. The design of the screws and push buttons, the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and the rubber strap with folding clasp invented by Hublot in 1980 for the Classic model, with the patented One Click system to facilitate interchangeability, leave no room for doubt: element To element, it is clear that it is a real Big Bang.
The BIG BANG e is available with a 42mm titanium or ceramic case. The metallic hour numbers are below the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, covered by a high-definition AMOLED touchscreen. As if it were a mechanical version of the Big Bang, its rotating crown with integrated push-button is used to activate the controls of its electronic module. Developed in association with other brands within the LVMH group, the watch has been adapted and refined to meet Hublot's requirements.
By transferring their traditional expertise to this new digital environment, designers located in Nyon have developed new watchmaking features. In addition to the analogue "Time Only" feature, the BIG BANG e features unique interpretations of traditional watch complications, such as a perpetual moon phase calendar with maximum precision or a second GMT time zone that displays Earth with great realism. These functions have been revised and improved to take advantage of the possibilities offered by the digital world. Despite the integrated technology, Hublot guarantees the water resistance of the watch to a depth of 30 meters.
Powered by Wear OS by Google ¢, the BIG BANG adds personalization to the smartwatch experience. Your carrier can access apps on Google Play, get answers on the go with Google Assistant, and make quick and easy payments with Google Pay. To further personalize the experience, you can switch to receiving information so you can stay up to date with your notifications and messages. In addition, spheres specifically designed by the talented Hublot ambassadors and friends of the brand will gradually be unveiled.
Available as soon as the BIG BANG is released, the first edition is part of the #HublotLovesArt movement: a series of eight spheres born from the imagination of Marc Ferrero, artista creador del Storytelling Art.
The BIG BANG e will be produced in two different editions: one of titanium and the other of black Black Magic ceramic. For the first time in Hublot's history, this watch will be sold online on the brand's website, as well as on the WeChat app in China . Later it can be purchased in boutiques and in the usual network.
