Mariah Bailey of Sevier County in East Tennessee is just 20 years old but feels she can make a much-needed difference in her community by running for the local School Board 5th District position. Her campaign for the seat adds validation to the interest and passion we've seen from our younger Tennesseans to get involved at their local level and run for office.
Mariah is no stranger to stepping up and doing what's necessary to make positive change's for her community. At the grand old age of 12, Mariah was already running campaign's to help the Homeless and had already established her charitable organization "Trending Change".
As a current Walters State College Student, Mariah's scheduled to graduate as a Political Science Major in May 2022. Which just so happens to be the same month as the scheduled local election for the Sevier County School Board. Her promise to Sevierville residents is to give the School's and the choices back to the parents. She believes that School Board Members are elected to represent and work for the Parents of Sevierville, not to undermine them.
Sevier County Residents, or more specifically residents of the city of Sevierville, should be sure to gather more information on Mariah Bailey and her campaign before the May 03, 2022 election.
