Doug Whiteman joined the Associated Press in 1994 at the Broadcast News Center in Washington, first as a general news anchor, then as writer and producer. He settled into the BNC's business news department the following year. In September 2007, he was named one of the Associated Press' broadcast editors.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Before joining the AP, Whiteman worked for the Unistar Radio Network, WCKY-AM in Cincinnati, NBC Radio and WEBR-AM in Buffalo, N.Y. He is a native of Erie, Pa., and a graduate of Fordham University in New York City.
