John E. Van Decker is a Research Vice President for Gartner. His areas of coverage include cross industries, business intelligence, ERP and supply chain management, and regulatory compliance. In these areas, he works with end-user organizations to improve their use of financial management technologies, as well as with vendors on ensuring that new product releases are agile and meet the increasing demands of the finance organization.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Previously, Van Decker was a District Manager for AT&T, a Director - Financial Systems, for Castrol North America, and a Senior Vice President - Technology Research Services for META Group.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Van Decker holds a BA in Music Education from Rutgers College of Rutgers University. In addition, he received an MBA in Finance and a Certificate in International Business from the Stillman School of Business at Seton Hall University.
