Andrea Seabrook is currently a weekend host of "All Things Considered" on National Public Radio.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Previously, Ms. Seabrook served as a congressional correspondent for NPR News, where she worked on daily breaking news as well as longer, in-depth features on Congress. Her work includes intensive coverage of the new Democratic majority in the House of Representatives, in-depth profiles of now Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and ground-breaking reportage of the previous House Republican Majority. Seabrook, who was promoted to Congressional Correspondent in March 2007, has covered the Hill since January 2003. She was previously a general assignment reporter for NPR.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Seabrook began reporting for NPR in 2001, after serving in a variety of editorial and production positions. She joined NPR in 1998 as an editorial assistant for "Anthem", an NPR music program. From there she moved to NPR's Mexico Bureau and provided fill-in coverage of Mexico and Central America. She returned to NPR and worked with NPR's Radio Expeditions series, a joint production between NPR and National Geographic, before moving to an editorial assistant position at "Morning Edition."[CR-LF][CR-LF]Before coming to NPR, Seabrook lived, studied, and worked in Mexico City, Mexico. She ran audio for movies and television, and even had a bit part in a Mexican soap opera. Seabrook earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Earlham College, with study in Latin American literature from La Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM) in Mexico City. While in college, she worked at WECI, Earlham College's radio station.
