Wayne Norman is a graduate of the University of Connecticut. His broadcasting career began in college at WHUS. He later worked at WADS in in Ansonia, Connecticut, before his long running association with WILI began in 1971. Wayne has been a color analyst for University of Connecticut football and basketball broadcasts since 1979. He also provides play-by play for Eastern Connecticut State University baseball broadcasts, as well as numerous high school baseball, football and basketball games. Wayne has received numerous awards for his sportscasting, including a 1999 Connecticut Associated Press Broadcaster Association Award for "Best Sports Story" for his work at the NCAA Final Four.
