Kate Mundy is a reporter and weekend anchor for KATC-TV. [CR-LF][CR-LF]She joined the team at KATC-TV in September 2007. Previously, she worked as a weekend anchor and general assignment reporter at the CBS affiliate in Birmingham, Ala., WIAT-TV.[CR-LF]Prior to that, she was morning anchor/education reporter at WMBB-TV in Panama City, Fla., and a morning anchor/reporter at WNEG-TV in Toccoa, Ga. She got her start at KBSH-TV in Hays, Kan., as an anchor/reporter.[CR-LF][CR-LF]The Southern California native graduated from Indiana University with degrees in journalism and political science. While going to school in Bloomington, she anchored and reported for Indiana University's PBS station, WTIU-TV. Before she made the move to television, she wrote for IU's Yearbook, the Arbutus and served as morning radio news reporter for WFHB. She was also one of seven women who founded Indiana University's first Asian-American sorority.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Currently, she lives in Acadiana with her husband Scott and their two dogs.
