Gerry May joined KTBS-TV in April of 2001 as a weekend anchor and reporter after spending nine years in California and Idaho. He began his television news career in Sherman, Texas, with later stops in Wichita Falls, Texas and Fort Smith, Ark. [CR-LF][CR-LF]May's memorable stories include George Bush's first campaign stop after the controversial nomination. His live report from the crash scene won a top Idaho Press Club award. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He enjoys golfing, listening to smooth jazz, and watching whatever sports his son is playing.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. May graduated on the Dean's Honor Roll at the University of Texas in Arlington in 1985.
