Joe Macaluso covers hunting, fishing and boating. He is responsible for two full pages of outdoors reporting per week. In addition, he writes the column "Fishing Report," which he began writing as a sports/outdoors writer for the Capital City Press. He celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2006. In 2007, he was recognized by the Louisiana Wildlife Federation for his outstanding conservation achievements. Mr. Macaluso graduated from Jesuit High School and studied at Louisiana State University and Loyola, New Orleans. He is a U.S. Army veteran.
