JACINTA RIVERA TROBO

Jacinta Rivera Trobo is a journalist based in Montevideo, Uruguay.

 Telling little stories that contribute to big changes, that's my passion. Whether as a journalist or as a communicator for social and cultural change, people are always at the center of my work.

I understand that working on public policies and cooperation serves to defend rights and change society, giving citizens the power to try to improve their living conditions.

I love multicultural environments. In addition to Galicia, where I grew up and studied my degree in journalism, I have lived in Prague, London, Rio de Janeiro and, for a little over a decade, in Montevideo. I studied a postgraduate degree in cultural management and am currently taking an online master's degree in communication for development at a Swedish university with students from all over the world.

As a journalist I worked at the Efe agency in Santiago de Compostela, Rio de Janeiro and Montevideo and published on BBC Mundo and El País de Madrid, among others.
