Mr. Gura Verified

David Gura produces live coverage of breaking news, long-form interviews, and performance chats for Talk of the Nation. He also hosts a live chat at npr.org on Thursdays along with Ken Rudin, NPR's political editor. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Gura's writing has appeared in The New York Times and the Independent Weekly. He worked as an intern for David Grann at The New Yorker from 2006 to 2007, and also interned NPR's All Things Considered and North Carolina Public Radio's The State of Things.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Gura has an M.A. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a B.A. in History and American Studies, magna cum laude, from Cornell University where he was a writer and editor for the student newspaper. For 2009, Gura won a media fellowship at Stanford University and a journalism fellowship at the National Constitution Center.
