Ms. Funke Verified

Becky Funke has worked as editor of Active Aging since December 1989. She has worked 16 consecutive years on the Kansas Press Women Communications Board, including as a president during 1996-1998. Funke is treasurer of the Wichita Press Communications, an organization devoted to achieving and maintaining respect for women in the communications workplace. Funke is the winner of numerous KPW Communications Contest awards, including the Kansas Press Women Communicator of Achievement for 2002, the most prestigious award given to a member of Kansas Press Women. She serves on the board of Goddard Library and Catholic Charities Foster Grandparent Program Advisory Council, and is active with the Goddard Lion's Club, which delivers Meals on Wheels and helps with other community activities.
