Rich Coppola is the sports anchor and sports director of Fox 61 News at WTIC-TV. In addition, he hosts the program, "Fox 61 Sports Ticket", Connecticut's weekend sports wrap-up program. Coppola started his career at the station in 1989. Previously, he worked for WTIC-TV as a sports director, KCFX-FM, and ESPN as a producer. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Coppola is a member of the Connecticut Sports Foundation. In 2004, he was named Connecticut Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA). He also won the Associated Press Award for Best Sportscaster in 1997 and in 1991.
