Mr. Bell has been working in radio since 1986 and has spent most of the last decade anchoring news in Northern California. A Bay Area native, [CR-LF][CR-LF]Thinking that journalism would be a hobby and not a career, Bell went off to U.C. Irvine to study civil engineering, and then to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, to get his M.B.A. Along the way, he began working in radio and, in 1993, joined to KCBS. After two years as a part-time anchor/reporter for the station, Jeff left for fulltime work at KFBK in Sacramento, where he spent the next eight years anchoring drive-time news programs. He returned to KCBS in 2004. [CR-LF][CR-LF]During his career, Bell has also worked as a television news writer (for KTVU's Mornings on Two program), a traffic reporter, and a Capitol correspondent in Sacramento.
