John Bace covers small and midsize businesses (SMB), regulatory compliance, and IT management. He has been with Gartner since the mid-1990s and he has been in IT since the early 1980s. Before joining Gartner, Bace was a communications advisor at IBM for nine years, the director of research and analyst relations at Technology Solutions Company for three years, an editor and reporter at UPI for five years, and an assistant professor at Northwestern University for five years. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Bace has a B.S. in psychology and political science from Rockford College, an M.S. in journalism from Northwestern University, and an M.Sc.L. in information technology (IT) law from The John Marshall Law School. He is also ABD for the Ph.D. in communication management at the The Union Institute. He speaks English and Lithuanian.
