Dhaka-based journalist following crime and human rights situation in Bangladesh.

With almost five years of experience in the journalism industry of Bangladesh, I currently work with the central news team of the country's largest circulated English national daily.

I am a full-time Sub-Editor at The Daily Star and keen to write about crime, human rights and politics in Southeast Asia.

If I am not riding my desk at the densely populated Dhaka city, most possibly I am travelling to some corner of Bangladesh with a hope of exploring rural lives.

Informing people of the news that matter is both my passion and profession. I earn bread for my family and myself by writing and editing.

Nowadays, I am also trying to learn Search Engine Optimization (SEO) with a hope that the knowledge would help my write-ups to reach even more people online.

I prefer keeping my personal and professional lives separate and absolutely love those who prefer the same!
