As Sydney prepares for another season of lights and waterfront celebrations, Australian Cruise Group has announced its diverse lineup of Vivid Sydney cruises for 2026, offering locals and visitors a chance to experience the Vivid Lights from the water between 22 May and 13 June. The cruise experiences range from budget-friendly spectator cruises to premium Vivid dinner cruises aboard luxury vessels, with select departures also expected to offer views of the Vivid fireworks. Nearly 2.5 million people attended the festival in 2025, and that number is expected to increase for Vivid Sydney 2026. Vivid cruises, however, remain the crowd favourite and one of the most sought-after vantage points to explore the lights festival each year. Australian Cruise Group's 2026 collection includes sightseeing cruises, glass boat dining experiences, cabaret paddlewheeler cruises and more, designed to cater to different audiences, from families and tourists to corporate groups and couples. Guests aboard the Vivid Cruises will witness several of this year's talked-about installations from the boats, including ˜Opera Mundi' by French artist Yann Nguema on the Sydney Opera House sails, the large-scale ˜Molecule of Light' laser installation and illuminations on the Harbour Bridge, among others. The Vivid Cruises themselves are part of the ˜Vivid Light On Sydney Harbour' installation, where illuminated boats and ferries move across the harbour in sync with the city skyline. Among the headline experiences are the Showboat and Clearview Vivid Dinner Cruises. The Showboat experience combines a live cabaret show and deluxe dinner aboard an authentic paddlewheeler, while Clearview glass boat offers 360° views of the lights and a four-course meal. Both cruises glide past many of the major Vivid light installations, including the illuminated Sydney Opera House sails and Harbour Bridge displays. On 28 & 29 May and 4, 5, 11 & 12 June, Vivid enthusiasts can also enjoy a fireworks display from the decks of these cruises. Festivalgoers looking for a more affordable way to enjoy the event can opt for the Magistic Vivid spectator cruises. Running during both the early evening ˜Lights On' moment and peak night hours, these shorter cruises focus on panoramic ˜Vivid Lights' views without the added cost of a meal.
