Silk, the leading platform for accelerating the flow of mission-critical data on the cloud, today announced the appointment of Bridget Gleason as its new Chief Sales Officer. Gleason brings more than 20 years of success building teams by establishing and executing the methods, processes, customer relations, and talent development required to ensure business growth.
"We are delighted to welcome Bridget to the executive team," said Dani Golan, Silk's CEO. "Her vast and varied experience will prove key for driving the company through its next stage of growth, and we are confident that Bridget has what it takes to help lead the charge." In July, Silk announced $55M in Series B funding led by S Capital.
Most recently, Gleason served as the Head of Sales and Customer Success at Tidelift, an open-source management platform. Before Tidelift, she held executive sales and go-to-market positions for companies, such as Engine Yard, Yesware, Sumo Logic, and Logz.IO, a cloud observability platform for engineering teams. Equipped with stellar people and business management experience, Gleason enabled 3x to 10x revenue growth for the companies that she's been associated with.
"I'm thrilled to join Silk during this exciting time of growth," said Gleason. "The demand for cloud environments is unprecedented, especially in the wake of the pandemic, and Silk is exceptionally well-positioned to capitalize."
As CSO, Gleason will manage Silk's worldwide sales, including account executives, sales development reps, and pre-sales engineering. She will work closely with marketing, business development, product, customer success, and the entire management team to assist in leading Silk's aggressive growth plans.
