Mr. Vise Verified

Avery Vise covers trucking for the Commercial Carrier Journal, and also contributes to Airport magazine. He has nearly 20 years' experience in transportation trade journalism. From 1985 to 1998, Mr. Vise was with McGraw-Hill's Aviation Week Group where he wrote and edited newsletters on the aviation and airport industries. In August 1998, he went to Randall Publishing Company as founder and editor of Trucking Company Magazine. He has received many American Society of Business Publication Editors awards while at Randall Publishing and in 2004 received the Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Award for a series of articles concerning risk management in trucking. In 2006, Mr. Vise received another Neal Award for Best Staff-Written Editorials or Opinion Column: Category 2. He is a member of the Truckload Carriers Association. Mr. Vise was a moderator at the 2003 Great American Trucking Show, and a facilitator at the 2006 NTDA's 17th Annual Convention. He is scheduled to be a moderator at the Mobilize the Future Annual Convention and Expo April 21-26, 2007.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Vise attended Georgetown University, where he studied government and history.
