Ms. Trujillo Verified

Anne Trujillo started her broadcasting career at a Denver radio station. From there, she moved on to television stations in Scottsbluff and Omaha, Neb., before returning home to Colorado in September 1984 as a KMGH-TV general assignment reporter.[CR-LF] [CR-LF]Ms. Trujillo's reporting and anchoring work was recognized by the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences, the Colorado Broadcasters Association, The Associated Press, the Colorado Hispanic Media Association and Women in Communications. She also received the Lowell Thomas Good News Award for her series of reports on high school students who excel. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Throughout her career, Ms. Trujillo was very active in the community. She served on the board of directors of the Latin American Educational Foundation and the Mi Casa Resource Center for Women. She also received numerous awards for service to the community from RAAP, Rape Assistance and Awareness Program, Museo de las Americas, among many others. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Ms. Trujillo is married, has two children, and still makes her home in Littleton, Colo., where she grew up.
