Mr. Polk Verified

Bill Polk brings more than 15 years of management experience in the manufacturing, supply chain software, and IT operations industries to his role as research director. Polk is a member of the Value Chain Strategies team, focusing on the chemicals, metals and mining industries. His research also covers the global integration of supply chain and value networks as well as manufacturing centers of excellence.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Before joining AMR Research, Polk was unit director within the enterprise services and support group for State Street Corporation (formerly Investors Bank & Trust). In his role he managed enterprise-wide infrastructure, technology upgrade, and outsourcing initiatives. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Prior to Investors Bank & Trust, Polk was a senior director with Oracle Corporation, where he led business development and implementation efforts for the internet supply chain management group. He also spent more than 7 years in the manufacturing industry as director of operations, managing facilities in the U.S., Mexico and overseas for ITT Industries and Robinson Nugent Corporation. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Polk holds a BA in math from the College of the Holy Cross and an MA and an MBA from Stanford University. He also served as a logistics officer in the United States Marine Corps.
