I am an experienced journalist and social media manager with a heavy background in business reporting. Previously, I served as managing editor of the Upper Cumberland Business Journal in Cookeville, Tennessee, a specialty publication targeting business professionals in a micropolitan area of Middle Tennessee. I also worked as a news reporter and features writer for the Herald-Citizen, a daily newspaper in the same town. I got my start as a marketing associate for Averitt Express.

I studied at Tennessee Tech University and graduated summa cum laude in December 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in English-journalism. I was also a four-year starter on the Golden Eagle volleyball team.

I have been awarded a Tennessee Press Association award for investigative reporting and a Kids Count media award from the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth for my writing.

I am a native of Cincinnati and moved back to the motherland for good in 2014.
