Harry Forbes is part of the Collaborative Manufacturing and Automation consulting team at ARC. He covers industrial networks from Ethernet and device networks to Microsoft-based plant floor applications and enterprise to control system integration. Healso acts as a client liaison for ARC Clients in areas of Power Generation and Industrial Energy Management.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Forbes is an expert in control system integration, industrial network technologies, and security. He also has over 25 years of experience with power generation (both fossil and nuclear), industrial energy management, simulation modeling, advanced control and optimization, advanced applications, and system sales and marketing.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Forbes joined ARC in 2002. Prior to joining ARC he worked with Invensys where his assignments included project management of major projects. He also served as a marketing manager for advanced control and optimization software products, and in several different assignments within the industry marketing, sales, and engineering organizations. He developed the partnership between Invensys and Esscor that resulted in over 50 successful training simulator projects and the eventual acquisition of Esscor by Invensys. Mr. Forbes has also worked for Detroit Edison, where he was a Results Engineer and controls engineer at a nuclear generating station.[CR-LF] [CR-LF]Mr. Forbes is an author in the areas of automation architecture and power generation.
