Bhutan 5 Days Impression Tour

A glimpse of the majestic Mount Everest and Himalayas on the flight to Paro Airport kicks off your Bhutan tour. You will visit east from Paro to Thimphu to Punakha and back to Paro.

Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan, is quite special. There are many slopes and it feels like a small mountain town, and all the buildings are traditional in style, scattered with countless homes, boutiques and canteens, and the bustling is full of simplicity and tranquility. You will visit the office of the modern king - Tashichho Dzong. It is similar to Buckingham Palace in England. National Memorial Chorten, National Library, Arts & Crafts School and etc. enable you to understand Bhutan culture and living traditions.

Dzongs of Bhutan (Buddhist monastery and fortress) is not only a government office but also a religious temple. The architecture is also representative of traditional styles, in which religion, culture, politics, art, natural scenery, and folk customs are all integrated. Punakha Dzong has played the role of the religious and administrative center in Bhutan's history. It is still the winter palace of religious leaders. The building itself is the highlight in this region. Standing on the covered bridge to see Punakha Dzong and the entire row of jacarandas in full bloom in front, accompanied by the gurgling water and the gentle breeze, is really a very beautiful picture. Wangdiphodrang Dzong, lie in the Phobjikha Valley of central Bhutan, is a striking sight, where you can catch excellent views across the terraced fields stretching away.

Paro is a rich land in the west of Bhutan. Taktsang Monastery is the most well known scenic spot in Paro. It locates on a cliff 800 meters high and takes 3 hours to walk from the foot of the mountain to reach the temple. In the 8th century AD, Master Padmasambhava flew here on a tiger and meditated in a cave. So it is also called the Tiger Cave Temple. Rinpung Dzong (Paro Dzong) is one of the 3 most popular tourist attractions of Bhutan. Above Rinpung Dzong is the National Museum of Bhutan. There are many cultural relics and historical introductions, the Thangka paintings are very exquisite, and it is a good place to watch Paro Valley.
