Saskatchewan Held a New Round of Invitations for Candidates from the International Skilled Worker Category

North York Ontario, December 5, 2020: In order to welcome skilled workers and professionals from the International Skilled Worker Category, Saskatchewan have sent invitation to a total number 551 eligible candidates under two categories such as Express Entry, and Occupations In-Demand. The candidates with experiences in some specific areas have been invited to apply for the work permit under the stated categories.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), also known as Saskatchewan provincial nominee program, is one of the authorized ways to become a permanent resident in Canada. The government keeps inviting the eligible people who want to obtain a permanent residency in Canada. 

To be eligible for the invitation under these categories, a candidate should essentially submit his/her Expression of Interest (EOI). Some changes have been made to the process of score evaluation in both categories.

The 214 candidates who have been invited through Express Entry should have the Expression of Interest of at least 78 scores. Also, the invited candidates should have the required educational qualifications and work experiences in one of the 56 occupations.

Other 337 candidates under the Occupations In-Demand subcategory should undergo a thorough Educational Credential Assessments to establish their eligibility. They need to have a work experience in one of the 75 occupations.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) selects the eligible people through the EOI system. It looks for the candidates who are highly suitable to the job market. While applying for the permit, a candidate needs to submit his/her expression of interest, showing their strong will and commitment to contributing to the economy. It is also necessary to show that they are interested in establishing a strong connection to the province.  

Occupations In-Demand:

The Occupations In-Demand sub-category accommodates those candidates who don't hold a federal Express Entry profile. It invites those eligible candidates who have work experiences in the sector with labour shortage.

Express Entry sub-category

Saskatchewan Express Entry is another sub-category that covers skilled people who have an experience of working in a high-skilled occupation. The candidates who have been successfully approved by the authority get 600 points under the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS).

They get an invitation to proceed for the application of Canadian permanent resident status. In the current process of inviting eligible candidates, Saskatchewan has sent the invitation to 214 workers who were already registered in the Express Entry pool.

How Provincial Nominee Program Works?

The Canadian immigration provincial nominee program has been created to target those candidates who want to live in the province and look forward to adding to that particular economy. It requires the candidates to have the skills, qualifications, and relevant work experience.

Once a candidate receives an invitation from a province or a territory, he/she can proceed with the proper application procedure. They can submit an application for permanent residence.

The invited candidates are provided with an application package that consists of all application forms and a guide that will help you fill the forms and submit the same appropriately.
