Aging is a challenging phase of life but fortunately, Nelia Laurel Ladlad stepped up to this challenge and continues to use her experience and expertise in home health agencies to assist and support the disabled and aging population in society. She has been involved in the elderly care business since 1999 and opened a home care and nurse staffing company together with her husband for providing supplemental staffing of LPN, RN, CNA, and caregivers in patients' homes, nursing homes, adult daycare, and other community-based agencies. She holds strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills which makes it possible to handle a team of managers working to support underserved members in the community.
Nelia Ladlad carries extensive experience in providing medical and non-medical care to homebound clients in more than 23 locations across Illinois. She was also responsible for interacting and negotiating with leaders of healthcare companies. Under her leadership, the gross revenue of home care and home health company grew from 2 Million in 2006 to 11 Million in 2011. She also gained experience as a member of the Professional Advisory Group of Illinois Department on Aging whose members are accountable for analysis, revision, and execution of policies for proper delivery of the Community Care Program (CCP) in Illinois. She provides business development, management, and consulting services to startups and companies in the area of home health, home care, assisted living, CILA, memory care, and adult day care services.
She works with a group of professionals and corporations whose main motive is to meet the daily living requirements of the elderly population. She is one of the most diversified parts of a health care agency, carrying approximately 25 different ethnic backgrounds and using her talent, networks, and resources to help seniors in the United States and other countries. She is the charter president of the Chicago Mabuhay Centennial Lions Club, providing leadership training to members for humanitarian services in the US.
