James Savage is a journalist based in Stockholm, Sweden.

 CEO & Publisher of The Local, the biggest source of local news and advice for international professionals/expats in nine European countries.

The Local reaches a highly-educated group of 6 million people living the global lifestyle around Europe.

I'm passionate about building reader revenues and making news sustainable in the 21st century. I'm also a strong believer in giving international professionals a voice in their communities, whether they are staying for a year or a lifetime.

I was previously in charge of building The Local's editorial operations, and have a background as a journalist. I still write features, analysis and opinion pieces. I'm also a panelist and regular commentator for Swedish, British and US media, talking about Brexit, issues affecting international professionals and Swedish current affairs.
