WEN-YEE LEE

Wen-Yee Lee (李玟儀) is an award-winning multimedia journalist based in Taipei, Taiwan. 

She was a tech reporter covering the U.S.-China Trade War and the global semiconductor industry for Business Weekly Taiwan. Before this, she was a freelance broadcast/video journalist based in Washington D.C., covering international politics and human rights.

She received her master's degree from the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University in 2017. She is the winner of the 2018 Asian American Journalists Association student award on AAPI issues. She also won the Student Award at the Military Reporters & Editors competition in the U.S. and received the 2018 Modern Business Reporting Awards (Magazine category) in Taiwan.

Her video work has been broadcast on NBC Out, AJ+, Military Times, Circa, Fort Worth Star-Telegram, U.S. News& World Report. She has covered stories for several Taiwanese and Chinese media outlets such as The News Lens, The reporter, Crossing and Caixin Globus.

She speaks Mandarin and English..
