 I spent much of my childhood pretending to be a reporter for my local newspaper, The Nelson Mail. Although I dreamed of becoming a writer, it wasn't until I met New Zealand legend and personal hero, Barry Crump, that I seriously entertained writing as a career choice. I achieved my childhood dream in 2016 when my first full-length feature interview was published in a weekend edition of The Nelson Mail, and I've been writing professionally ever since.

I've created copy for businesses internationally, including event and episode short-copy for well-known broadcasters and events, such as the US coverage of the 2018 Winter Olympics, as well as working on communications for individuals, family-owned businesses, and Fortune 500 brands. I accept assignments on an on-call basis. I specialize in:

• episode, series, movie, documentary copy for OTT networks

• investigative long-form articles, in-depth interviews

• product packaging copy, sales descriptions

• dual-language copywriting & direct media contact (Korean domestic market)

• training & technical documents

As well as being an active writer, I am also passionate about education. With over ten years of experience in education, I have taught learner-centered classes to a range of students, both in Christchurch and in Seoul, and have taught business communication to professionals. I work as an English literature teacher to junior learners at Paedeaplus Apgujeong, and an adult business English instructor at Personal English, Gangnam. I have also worked as a contract film and TV studies lecturer at the Digital Chosun Ilbo Global Education Centre Gwanghwamun. I also study education and languages (both ancient and modern) to deepen my understanding of language acquisition, the process of learning, as well as the challenges from the perspective of the learner.

An active volunteer, I have assisted a United Nations organization as an editor and writer in a volunteer capacity and have been a volunteer records transcriber for The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa. I'm open to further volunteer opportunities, including:

• subject-specific remedial teaching and curriculum development

• Zoom-based education development and delivery (all subjects - industry and education)

I'm an adaptable writer who delivers premium quality, value-adding work on deadline. I'm also a nature-loving explorer who believes that a good adventure before breakfast is the perfect start to a productive day of work.
