Sara Hteit is a journalist.

Sara Hteit is a Lebanese journalist and media consultant based in Beirut. She is a pioneer in the field of mobile journalism, digital storytelling and visual production, and has a particular focus on media platforms that appeal to youth audiences.

As a media consultant, Sara works with a wide range of national and international media NGOs in designing journalism educational curriculum, including strategic goals for long-term digital journalism training projects.

Most recently, she has delivered training for a large Deutsche Welle Akademie project in the Middle East and North Africa – specifically in Lebanon, Turkey, Tunisia and Morocco. She also worked in 2019 on projects targeting Syrian and Palestinian refugees in refugee camps in Lebanon, to help them develop storytelling skills and share their experiences in their own voices. Sara is also a working journalist, having begun her career in print in 2014, and more recently as a video journalist for international outlets including Deutsche Welle TV.
