Renata Honorato is a PR Manager and Journalist based in Sao Paulo, Brazil

Journalist with more than 12 years of experience in different sections such as technology, digital culture, culture, video games, national and international news. After writing and editing articles about technology, video games, digital culture and other subjects related to innovation for National media outlets for more than 10 years, I have started work as PR for tech and entertainment industries – first "In-House" at Deezer (music streaming service), then for Facebook and Instagram at Ideal H+K Strategies (WPP Group) and now at Riot Games.

During my career as reporter, I have covered huge tech events in Brazil and also in the North America (e.g. E3, SXSW, TechCrunch Disrupt). Before being hired by VEJA, between 2000 and 2009, my stories were published in websites and magazines including Rolling Stone, Electronic Gaming Monthly, 89 Rock, Top Magazine, Vice and Galileu. I have managed one of the most important video game websites in Brazil (Arena) driven it to a successful position in terms of brand relevance and audience rating. I also worked as social media consultant for SP-Arte, the most important art fair in Latin America for 4 years.

I have covered the intersection between technology, public politics and Brazilian legislation in the period that I have worked for VEJA. The magazine which the main subjects are politics and economy has demanded a general coverage connected to political aspects which has impact for society from social and legal perspectives. Regarding this coverage, I used to travel to Brasília to talk to my sources who were secretaries, congressmen and people related to bill projects which could change anything in the way how tech companies were operating in Brazil.

To be honest, I am a curious person who loves games, tech, innovation, music, movies and cats.
