Lisa Meyer is a full-time reporter for WBZ NewsRadio. Meyer has spent 25 years as a reporter/anchor for radio stations throughout the country. For 13 years, she served as a correspondent for CBS Radio and the Associated Press.[CR-LF] [CR-LF]Meyer joined WBZ from the Associated Press in Washington, D.C. After serving 4 years as an AP radio correspondent she was named National Security Correspondent. She was responsible for daily coverage of the Pentagon, the Department of Homeland Security, the CIA and State Department. She covered major events such as the death of Pope John Paul the Second, the 2004 Presidential Campaign and conventions, and Hurricane Katrina, where she spent six weeks in the Gulf covering the storm and its effects. Meyer also was a dominate correspondent for CBS Radio where she covered the bombing of the US embassies in Africa, the initial NATO attacks in Kosovo, and the 1996 Presidential campaign and conventions.[CR-LF] [CR-LF]She received the Edward R. Murrow award in 1999 as a CBS Radio Correspondent for her coverage of the impeachment of President Clinton. She was also part of the team of AP Radio Anchors who received the Edward R. Meyer then continued her excellence in reporting at WMAQ-AM in Chicago where she spent the next five years, at first covering a wide range of breaking local news stories and then serving as the station's investigative reporter.
