Mr. Mark Maremont is a senior editor and investigative reporter for the Boston bureau of the Wall Street Journal. He moved to London as a correspondent for the magazine in July 1986 and returned to the United States as the bureau chief for Business Week's Boston bureau in July 1992. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Maremont was a member of a team of Journal reporters who were awarded the 2003 Pulitzer Prize in explanatory reporting for a series of stories that exposed corporate scandals. In 2005, Mr. Maremont and three other Journal reporters won eight Pulitzer Prizes, the most notable of which was the Prize in public service for exposing business executives who reaped millions of dollars by backdating stock options. He was a finalist in the 1996 National Magazine Awards in the reporting category for his 1995 cover story on Bausch & Lomb Inc. He won a Gerald Loeb Award in the Magazine Category for his 1996 Business Week cover story Abuse of Power, reporting sexual abuse at Astra USA Inc. He won another Gerald Loeb Award in 2007. Mr. Maremont was also a finalist for the Atlanta Media Company's Michael Kelly Award in 2007.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Maremont graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with honors from Brown University in Providence, R.I., with a bachelor's in history.
