In addition to her anchor duties, Jocelyn Maminta is also the station's health/lifestyles reporter. Maminta first came to News Channel 8 in 1993. Along with Keith Kountz, she co-anchored News Channel 8 at 5 a.m. and Good Morning Connecticut. She also reported and produced a weekly family segment entitled, 'Family Matters'. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Before working in New Haven, Maminta was a reporter trainee at WUSA-TV in Washington, D.C. She then held reporter positions at WGHP-TV in High Point, N.C., WKBW-TV in Buffalo, N.Y., and WFMY-TV in Greensboro, N.C. In 1997, Maminta headed off to Milwaukee, Wis., to anchor the 5:00 p.m. newscast at WITI-TV. In 1999, she went to Lubbock, Texas to co-anchor CBS 13 News at 5:30 and CBS 13 News at 10.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Maminta is very active in the community and is associated with groups such as the American Heart Association, the March of Dimes and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. She is a member of the Junior League of New Haven and on the Board of the Friends of Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital.
