Dr. Lancaster Verified

Jack R. Lancaster is editor of Nitric Oxide: Biology and Chemistry and a professor of anesthesiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a member of the Center for Free Radical Biology at UAB.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Dr. Lancaster earned his B.Sc. degree in Chemistry in 1970 at the University of Tennessee at Martin, and his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from the University of Tennessee at Memphis. He did two years of postdoctoral work at Cornell University and four years of additional postdoctoral work at the Duke University Medical Center. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He was a professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at Utah State University from 1980 to 1992. He was then appointed Associate Professor of Surgery and Pharmacology, The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. In 1994 he became Associate Professor of Physiology at LSU Health Sciences Center, New Orleans and then Professor in 1996.[CR-LF]In 1992, he moved to the University of Alabama. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Lancaster is co-founder and president of the Nitric Oxide Society. He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Medinox Inc.
