Henry S. Harrison is the publisher of Real Estate Valuation Magazine covering real estate. Harrison received the professional recognition award, AIREA, two times over. He has also received the prestigious Distinguished R.E. Instructor (DREI) designation from the Real Estate Educators Association in 1993. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He is a nationally recognized real estate educator and author, who has lectured throughout the country on real estate appraising. He has been a leading real estate appraisal educator for over 40 years. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He was a president of the Greater New Haven Association of Realtors, where he was named Realtor of the Year in 1976. In 1992, Harrison received an Educator of the Year award. Harrison is a life member of the Appraisal Institute. He was a president of the Connecticut chapters, a national public relations chairman of MAI and RM of the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers (AIREA) and Society of Real Estate Appraisers (SREA). [CR-LF][CR-LF]He was a president of ABC-Americas Home Buying Consultants, Incorporated, Greater New Haven Association of Realtors and The Harrison Appraisal Company. Harrison earned the SRPA designation of the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. He also served as the National Public Relations Chairman of the AIREA. [CR-LF]Harrison is a retired Air Force major and served during the Korean War. He graduated from Hopkins Grammar School and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He also received a master's degree in adult education and real estate appraising from Goddard College in Vermont.
