Robert Gray has more than 30 years of computer industry experience with leading equipment suppliers and storage systems suppliers. He is a widely recognized senior executive analyst and consultant to the computer storage industry. His technological expertise includes fiber channel, network attached storage, storage area networks/clusters, and RAID, and his research expertise includes data warehousing and data mining.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Before founding his own firm, Gray worked for IDC from 1995 to 2007, most recently as Research Vice President for Worldwide Storage Systems Research. Prior to joining IDC, Gray was a Senior Product Manager in the Storage Business Unit of Digital Equipment Corporation where he focused on DSSI storage, multi-host storage clusters, and the StorageWorks product line. He has also held a number of positions with Genrad, Calcomp, and Lexidata.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Gray has been issued three patents, including inventions in internal computer organization, memory management, and tape mechanism control.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Gray has B.E.E. and M.E.E. degrees from Cornell University.
