Mr. Finney Verified

Chuck Finney has been with the Consumer and Environmental Protection Unit of the San Mateo County District Attorney's Office for sixteen years. He specializes in the criminal prosecution of white collar crime and has extensive experience in a broad range of consumer issues, such as charitable solicitations, auto purchases and repairs, health club issues, bait and switch, false advertising, unfair competition, landlord/tenant issues, and the small claims court. [CR-LF][CR-LF]He has worked in radio for over twenty years and was the Director of News and Informational Programming at public radio station KQED-FM in San Francisco, Calif., from 1981 - 1984. In 1984, Mr. Finney began producing and hosting "Your Legal Rights" at KQED-FM and moved the program to KALW-FM in San Francisco in 1986. KALW-FM is also a public radio station and is owned by the San Francisco School District. The program is designed to educate the public about their legal and consumer rights and is carried on seven stations. Because of his work on "Your Legal Rights", Mr. Finney was awarded the 1994 C. Rick Chamberlin Award by the California Board of Specialization of the State Bar of California for presenting programs to improve public awareness of the law.
