Carrie Banks covers local and state government. She is in charge of all content, layout and design of all published materials as communications director for the Alabama League of Municipalities. She is also an adjunct instructor for Troy University.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Before joining the Alabama Municipal Journal in 1997, Ms. Banks worked for the Alabama Education Retirees Association in Montgomery. She is a founding board member and current board president for ClefWorks, Inc., a nonprofit music festival held in Montgomery, Alabama during the summer. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Ms. Banksis a member of the Alabama Council of Association Executives (ACAE) and the Montgomery Chapter of the Public Relations Council of Alabama (PRCA). [CR-LF][CR-LF]She graduted from East Carolina University with a bachelor's degree in journalism and from the University of Alabama with a master's degree in public relations and advertising.
