Anthony Grant is a journalist currently based in Athens, Greece.

Anthony Grant is a seasoned media commentator and travel reporter with bylines in outlets ranging from The New York Times and The Washington Post to Ynet News and Forbes.com and media appearances on leading news networks including CNN, MSNBC, CBS and CBC. He has reported for AP and The Moscow Times and was on the original digital launch teams of The Atlantic Monthly and France24. He produced and edited the first dedicated Israel travel site for About.com when that portal was part of The New York Times Company.

Legendary Playboy editor Barry Golson, under whom Anthony worked at Forbes in New York  called Anthony “the best hed and dek writer I’ve ever worked with, and that’s saying a lot.” He was lead travel columnist for The New York Sun for several years and his articles and reports have appeared in the Los Angeles Times,  LIFO (Athens) and leading Greek newspaper Kathimerini, Euronews and more.

 In Tel Aviv Anthony produced and presented a daily global Press Review segment and pop culture Web Review segment for start-up network i24News. In addition, he presented a weekly evening media review with Arab-Israeli anchor Lucy Aharish and  Middle East press reviews for the network’s French channel.

Specialties are Middle East politics and media analysis, global pop culture, on-camera expertise and live interviews, with an emphasis on the Eastern Mediterranean region. The Greek Column project launched in spring. He has also reported extensively on travel in Greece for Euronews, interviewing Greek Minister of Tourism Harry Theoharis and examining new trends in tourism.
