What is Off-Market Real Estate?

The primary motivation is to reduce commission costs.
Although real estate commissions are always negotiable, sellers typically pay a sales commission of 6% when a property is listed for sale on the MLS. In a traditional commission split, the seller's broker receives half of the commission and the buyer's broker receives the other half.

Another motive to acquire or sell off-market properties is the desire for privacy.
