From its inception, Kahvie Café has been designed to nourish the growing community, satisfying both body and spirit from sun up to lights out.

Kahvie Lofts is currently taking online orders and serving customers from its take-out window. Due to COVID-19, the café will not fully open until mid-June, pending any COVID-19 restrictions.

Drawing inspiration from the unique character of a wide array of cultures, Kahvie Café general manager Sarah Nicotra aspires to do more than serve great coffee. Designing the space to feel like coffee shops that Nicotra had worked at and visited throughout her travels around the world, she also drew inspiration from the neighborhoods that Vie Management’s student housing communities are located in.

Kahvie Lofts is driven by a strong sense of place and purpose to create a space built around fresh, sustainable ingredients, with ample choices for people who have dietary preferences for health or lifestyle reasons. This vibrant, design-inspired space provides specialty coffees, such as oat milk lattes, using freshly roasted Lone Light Coffee Company coffee that has been roasted in Charlottesville, Va., tea products from Texas-based Camellia Tea and more.

Kahvie also utilizes a variety of flavors and products from the surrounding community. Focused on supporting as many local suppliers as possible, including Element Kombucha and Rockstar Bagels based out of San Antonio. Kahvie offers fresh, locally made products that are hard to find anywhere else.

This is Vie Management’s second Kahvie Café location. The original location can be found at its student housing community Vie Towers in Hyattsville, Md. Vie Management has plans to further expand its lifestyle café brand with a new location at Vie at University Downs in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
