Zeleros Hyperloop has completed a financing round worth more than ¬ 7 million. The company is entering a new important phase in the development of its unique version of hyperloop, the "fifth mode of transport" and the best alternative of the future to transport passengers and goods by ensuring efficient and sustainable connections on long routes distance. Connections like Paris-Berlin could be reduced to less than an hour.
Zeleros opens this new stage thanks to the support of companies like Altran, Grupo Red El©ctrica as well as strategic investors at national and international levels, including in particular Goldacre Ventures (United Kingdom), Road Ventures (Switzerland), Plug and Play (United Unis), and Spanish Angels Capital and MBHA in Spain. The funds will be used to energize the further development of Zeleros' hyperloop vehicle ('hyperbuckle') and its basic technologies which position them as the best alternative to effectively cover journeys covering 400 to 1,500 kilometers with special advantages, in particular a reduction in overall infrastructure costs and operation at safer pressures for passengers.
David Pistoni, CEO of Zeleros, commented on the announcement as follows: For Zeleros , it is essential to have partners with this relevance and expertise on board. Their support will accelerate the development of our technologies by paving the way for hyperloop-based roads and corridors in Europe and around the world. These new funds will energize an important stage in the development and demonstration of our technologies in a real operating environment and bring Zeleros closer to a position on a market opportunity representing several billion to seize in the coming decades. "
Pilar Rodrguez, director of strategy, innovation and research and development at Altran who participates as a lead investor, observed: As one of the world's leading engineering companies, Altran acts as a technological catalyst in various strategic sectors. By supporting Zeleros, we are accelerating disruptive innovation in a sector like mobility that is being reinvented. With technologies like hyperloop, we are changing the future of mobility. Altran has been collaborating with Zeleros since 2017 and now will contribute all its experience and multidisciplinary talent in order to assist the Company in accelerating the development of hyperloop technology. "
Miguel Ruiz Dealbert, CEO of the MBHA group, underlined: Our companies are committed to supporting technologies and young companies that accelerate the transition to more sustainable mobility. Zeleros has great potential in the decarbonization of the mobility sector between cities, which for the moment is mainly in the aviation sector. Our company ZIUR Composite Solutions will bring its vast experience in the improvement of complex structures in composite materials and in the automation of processes to help Zeleros to reduce the time of implementation and commercialization of their technologies. "
The next step will be the establishment of the European Hyperloop Development Center in Spain, which will include a 3 km test track used to demonstrate the effectiveness of its high-speed technologies. The aim of this project is to accelerate the development of the hyperloop sector in Europe through the creation of an ecosystem of international industrial, technological and institutional partners. "Hyperloop is an important development and this requires the participation of first class partners," added David Pistoni.
