Larry Hatteberg's television career began at KAKE in 1963 where he started as a part-time film lab technician. He's been a photographer, chief photographer, assistant news director, executive news director, and is now prime-time co-anchor.[CR-LF][CR-LF]Hatteberg's People series won a national Edward R. Murrow Award for writing. He's twice been named the National Press Photographers Television News Cameraman of the Year. He received three of the highest awards in photojournalism given by the National Press Photographers Association. In addition, he has received more than 90 local, state and national awards for television news photography and reporting, and for helping to set broadcast journalism standards. [CR-LF][CR-LF]His interest in photography began at Winfield High where he was photo-editor of the school newspaper and yearbook. During his junior and senior year, he began his professional career by selling photos to the local newspaper. Hatteberg attended Kansas State Teachers College in Emporia and Wichita State University
