Brian Bolter joined WTTG-TV in 1999. Two and a half years later, he was named co-anchor of the station's flagship newscast. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Bolter came to FOX 5 from WBAL-TV in Baltimore where he worked as the weekend anchor and reporter. He started his broadcast journalism career as a part time chyron operator in Monterey, Calif. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Bolter is a two-time Emmy award winner including being honored as the Mid Atlantic's Best Live Reporter. He also won a 2001 Edward R. Murrow award for excellence in journalism. The Associated Press honored him with numerous awards for his investigative reporting. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Bolter spends most of his free time either on the beach or on the mountain. He often crews in local sailing races, and during the winter he enjoys snowboarding. [CR-LF][CR-LF]Mr. Bolter graduated from Loyola University-New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
